MAY 2
We were awake around 5 am but didn't get up until 6.  We got showered and ready for the day.   We had an amazing breakfast buffet with traditional American options and some traditional Chinese options.  It was fun to walk around and try new things.

Fresh flowers filled the atrium of hotel, they smelled so good.

We went to the lobby and exchanged money and met all the couples that were here with CCAI and then headed on a tour bus. We went to Tieananment Square and Forbidden City.

Then we took our bus to Hutong "Old China" and rode a rickshaw and had an authentic Chinese meal in a family home.  Then we rode the bus back to the hotel.  Some families went on to the silk factory.  And others of us stayed at the hotel to rest.  We took a nap and were able to connect with the kids before they left for school.

We came back to the hotel for some rest time.  We napped awhile.  We were going to head to the noodle restaurant for dinner, but non of us were very hungry and mom and I have had an upset stomach this evening.  We did walk he streets to check out the street vendors..... I'll post those pictures tomorrow:)

Here is the traditional "Squatty Potty"
Headed to bed............
